First a disclaimer: This is probably going to be one of the most controversial posts I’ve written. I say this for several reasons: First, I don’t think America is ready to hear it. Second, I will be reflecting on the state of society. Third, I will be talking about a minority group who has historically been singled out for simply having a different skin color than what was considered normal. Please understand that the thoughts and ideas addressed here should be considered as a whole.
It’s closing onto two weeks since Obama was christened as the new President. Before he was sworn in, I wrote how Obama would first be judged as a black president before he would be judged as a president. I stand by this article. I will, however, be expanding on this post.
Yesterday, the Republican National Committee nominated their first black chairman. Being a republican, I’m excited by this, even though I don’t really pay attention to the going-ons of the national committee. But I don’t think I’m excited for the right reason.
People have said that it’s historic that a black person can become president after decades of racism. Overcoming all adversity, fulfilling Martin Luther King’s dream. But what was his dream?
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I believe that Obama was voted president not by the content of his character but the color of his skin. And now, to avoid the label racism, the RNC is following suite.
Obama’s character has been questioned since his nomination. His pastor, his relationship with a known and convicted terrorist, his lack of any credible leadership experience were completely ignored because of one reason: “change” It didn’t matter to the American people what kind of change. Obama could have been white and won the election. But the fact that he is black gave America the opprotunity to forgive themselves of any racial prejustice they had. The election was about change but race was what Obama ran on, whether he knew it or not.
The racism that is currently permiating America is very subtile. People are so afraid of being called racist that they will do things they normally wouldn’t do so they can avoid being labeled one. Consider the appointment of Roland Burris. Before he was appointed, Obama and his fellow democrats announced that they would not honor any appointment by now impeached Rob Blagojevich. Obama was ademant that any appointment by Blagojevich would be tainted. His stance changed when Burris was appointed. Blagojevich, counting on the fact that Burris is black, knew that the Senate would have to seat the only black senator. If they didn’t, they would be labeled a bigot. Obama suddently backs down and quietly tells the Senate to seat Burris, completely ignoring the fact that several days ago, he wouldn’t support any person appointed by Blagojevich.
Racism comes in many forms. Anything done to treat someone different because of the color of their skin is racism. If a black person is denied access to a building because he’s black, that’s racism. But if that same black person is encouraged and ushered into the building because he’s black, it’s still racism.
I couldn’t help but overhear one of my co-workers the day after the election. He called several people and asked if they helped write history. It’s sad because the only reason it was history was because Obama is black. If he was white, would there have been the same pomp and circumstance? If he was white, would there have been mad hocking of merchandise? If he was white, would we even be having this conversation?
America, you are racist, even if you do it with a smile on your face. Yes, let put black people in power to make yourselves look good. Let’s completely ignore everything else because you want to save face. You don’t want to be called racist, right?
I’d rather be labeled a racist and judge a man by his character than be labeled “open-minded” because I support Michael Steele. Racism has turned from hatrid to undeserved respect. As a real minority, I find it sickening.

A friend of mine pointed out to me that a few of my tweets were a bit off-color and could be seen as repulsive. Being a man of words, I took his advice to heart and went back and reviewed the tweets in question. After discussing with him and after searching my own heart, I agreed and now feel a retraction is required.
The two tweets in question were placed on this past Tuesday, the 20th. For sake of clarity, I’m including the text below:
*News you didn’t hear because of the orgy going on in DC: If you ate out recently, check your CC Bill: http://tinyurl.com/79ek9t.via Twitter – 10:15am – Comment
*A nuclear explosion can go off somewhere outside of DC and the Obamabots will continue to masterbate to his holiness. #tcot.via Twitter – 8:47pm – Comment
These tweets are no longer available on my public timeline. Subsiquently, they have been removed from my facebook profile.
The reason these tweets are repulsive and offensive is because the imagery the tweets bring. While this was my intention, I realize that I could have acheived a similiar reaction using a different, less abrasive, metaphor.
I deeply apologize to anyone who was offended by these choice in words. While I cannot unring the bell, I hope that you can understand the message that I was trying to send.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.

Visit the Legislative Information System to track your own bills.
Bills I support:
- HB 982: Concealed handgun permit applications — Protects from public disclosure permittee names and descriptive information held by the Department of State Police. Bill forged after The Roanoke Times published a list of names and addresses of those who had conceal carry permits.
- HB 55 : Designating English as official language of State — I think it’s discriminatory that the VA government website only offers Spanish as an alternative language. Why not Korean? Make the official language English so there is no discrimination.
- HB 65 : Voters and voting; photo identification required to vote — Voting is important to the democratic process. We must be able to verify all voters to be sure that they are indeed the person who they say they are.
Bills I oppose:
- HB 904 : Mobile telephone and other wireless electronic devices; use of hands-free accessory while driving — Unfairly targets travelling businessmen as well as more affluent drivers. I would only support this bill if eating, drinking, and any other activity taking focus away from driving were also banned.
- HB 20 : Primary elections; voter registration by political party — Political party affiliations should not used as a filter. Current rules are fine.
- SB 233 : Transportation Plan; include quantifiable measures & achievable goals for greenhouse gas emission — Greenhouse gases is a very broad term and measurement of these gases will accomplish nothing except provide an arbitrary measure to reduce a naturally occurring emission.
- SB 2 : Retail Sales and Use Tax; eliminates exemption for certain fuels — We don’t need any more taxes on gas. And the Use tax should be eliminated, not expanded.
You can view federal bills I’m tracking on OpenCongress.org.

After Obama swindled 63 million Americans, newspapers across the nation sold out so that people can hold onto a piece of history. Since then, stores have been filled with Obama merchandise. Everything from gold coins to commemorative dishes bare his holy image. And like the idiots they are, people are willing to spend ridiculous amounts of money. As conservatives witness this, they want to make money off them. Now the market is flooded with Obama merchandise, most of wish are so cheesey that only your great aunt twice removed would own the talking Obama pen.
There is no doubt that with an Obama win, people have been spending gobs of money. It has spurred people to by guns for the first time for fear that the Obama regime would bar them from owning one. Millions have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get to DC to witness the inauguration. There are reports that people are even going into debt just so they can say they were there!
Despite what Obama and his worshipers say, this is about race. Plain and simple. Obama said early in his campaign that race wouldn’t be in issue. But if the man was white or even Indian, there wouldn’t be this much excitement. It is the very fact that the man is AFRICAN that there is this much anticipation. Frankly, I think anyone who likes Obama simply because he’s black is MORE RACIST thank the average KKK member. I say this because if you follow someone blindly just because he’s one race, that makes you prejudice.
I also find it odd how the Secret Service outfitted the limos with increased protection. Is it just me or is Obama receiving special protection? How is this fair under the 14th amendment? Why should he have a special level of protection verses any other president? You can bet your bottom dollar that if this had been any other president, the limos wouldn’t have been upgraded.
The next four years will be about how a black president will lead this country. Sadly, it won’t be about Obama. America may have been ready for a black president. But history will judge him first as black, then as a president.
